The President Hotel in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef de Partie to lead pastry production for a busy luxury property. You will own a pastry section and deliver high-quality desserts, breads and pastries for restaurant service, buffets, banqueting and events.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of pastry kitchen experience in luxury settings, strong plating skills, and a passion for current pastry trends.

Competenze

• Minimum 2–3 years' recent pastry kitchen experience.
• Strong pastry production, desserts, breads and baked goods knowledge.
• Experience in high-volume, luxury kitchen environments is advantageous.

Mansioni

• Prepare pastries, desserts, cakes and breads daily.
• Present items to high standards per recipes and plating.
• Manage pastry mise en place, production and timing for service.
• Support pastry production for events, banqueting and functions.
• Maintain consistency, flavour, texture and presentation across pastry items.
• Own your pastry section and ensure readiness for service.
• Guide junior pastry staff and maintain HACCP standards.
