Craven Cottage CC is seeking a kitchen assistant to support the Executive and Head Chef in daily operations across three camps. You will prepare pastries, breads, and desserts, ensure quality and timely delivery, and assist across kitchen sections while maintaining hygiene and food safety standards.

The role requires a formal culinary qualification, Grade 12, 2–3 years’ experience in hospitality (Safari experience preferred), strong organisational and time-management skills, and a valid driver’s

Responsabilidades

• Ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery each morning.
• Assist chefs with food preparation across kitchen sections.
• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards.
• Support stock control and reduce waste.
• Implement new ideas and menu creation.
• Check requisitions and issue sheets are accurate.
• Communicate effectively in English.

Duties:

• Check that requisitions and issue sheets are done correctly.
• Competent in English writing and speaking

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• A formal culinary qualification
• At least 2-3 years' experience
• Organisational skills
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Previous lodge or hospitality experience advantageous in a Safari environment
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Strong time management and organisation skills
• Willingness to start early and work flexible hours
• Drivers licence essential
