Job summary

Craven Cottage CC is seeking a capable Camp Manager to oversee daily camp operations, ensuring a welcoming guest experience. You will lead housekeeping, guest service and general camp duties, while planning and preparing meals when needed.

We value hands-on leaders who can manage dietary needs, coordinate guest arrivals, monitor supplies and maintain high hygiene standards in a bush environment. Strong guest relations and task prioritisation are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a camp, bush lodge or similar hospitality operation.
• Ability to prepare wholesome, well-presented meals independently.
• Experience cooking in a lodge, camp, or guesthouse.
• Ability to create home-style meals for diverse dietary needs.
• Strong guest relations, staff supervision and organisational skills.
• Resourceful, practical and able to work in a bush environment.

• Prepare tasty, balanced and well-presented meals.
• Plan practical menus according to guest numbers, dietary requirements and available ingredients.
• Coordinate meal preparation and quantities to meet the requirements of the camps.
• Monitor food supplies and communicate ordering requirements.
• Maintain portion control, minimise waste and rotate stock correctly.
• Keep the kitchen, equipment and food storage areas clean and organised.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience managing a camp, bush lodge or similar hospitality operation.
• Must be confident preparing wholesome, well-presented meals independently.
• Previous experience cooking in a lodge, camp, guesthouse or similar environment.
• Ability to prepare a variety of home-style meals confidently.
