Job summary

Scania Nederland B.V. is seeking a Parts Advisor in Mpumalanga to meet part requests from workshop staff and customers promptly. The role includes maintaining storeroom accuracy, processing orders, and ensuring parts availability.

You will work with workshop teams to support service delivery and uphold health and safety standards. Responsibilities include picking, packing, delivering parts, completing documentation, and building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

  • Basic high school education.
  • Technical experience or qualification.
  • Previous experience in automotive industry/warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and deliver correct parts to customers and Workshop on time.
  • Pack parts and arrange delivery or pickup when required.
  • Complete invoices, payment and other official papers accurately.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships through excellent service.
  • Coordinate with Workshop to ensure parts availability and proper packaging.
  • Receive and inspect packages, resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock, inventory, and organize stock takes.
  • Load/unload parts and verify goods against orders.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the warehouse.
  • Follow health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Handle ordering, invoicing and crediting within delegated authority.
  • Organise return of cores packaging materials and warranty goods.

Job description

The Parts Advisor is responsible for meeting all part requests from workshop personnel and customers in a timely and efficient manner. They are also responsible for the upkeep of the storeroom

Job Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Pick and deliver correct parts to customers and Workshop on time.
  • If necessary, pack the parts and arrange for delivery or pick up.
  • Complete relevant documentation accurately, including invoices, payment and other official papers.
  • Build and develop customer relationships through the provision of excellent customer service, ensuring customer needs are being met.
  • Work together with the Workshop to ensure parts availability and ensure packaging, service exchange and warranty parts procedures are adhered to.
  • Receive and inspect all packages delivered, resolving any discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock, spare parts and inventory, organising stock take as required.
  • Load and unload parts, bin to appropriate location. Receive and inspect goods, checking transport documents and incoming goods against the order. SRS: Partake in continuous improvement work.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, ensuring the warehouse and common areas are kept clean and are in order.
  • Comply with Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices.
  • Build and develop customer relationships through the provision of excellent customer service, ensuring customer needs are being met.
  • In relation to Parts, work within the delegated authorities for ordering, invoicing and crediting.
  • Organise the return of cores packaging material, warranty and bought back goods.
  • When requested carry out other reasonable duties and responsibilities not specifically mentioned in the job description during the course and scope of employment
