Qualifications
Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
A basic qualification in Administration or Bookkeeping is considered a distinct advantage.
Proven experience navigating the SARS eFiling system is very important.
Fundamental understanding of South African tax types, including Income Tax, VAT, and PAYE.
Responsibilities
Prepare and gather documentation for Registered Representative appointments for Companies and Trusts.
Collate and organize information required for SARS appointments.
Manage the preparation of supporting documentation for updating banking details.
Gather and verify information for tax registrations and deregistrations.
Compile supporting documentation for Individual and Trust tax return submissions.
Ensure the internal tax database is kept up to date.
Prepare and submit nil or dormant tax returns for Income Tax, VAT, and PAYE.
Conduct telephonic follow-ups with the SARS call centre and assist with eFiling queries.
Manage client communications, filing, and document control.
