Job summary

adidas Group in Cape Town is seeking a Store Associate to support daily store operations, delivering outstanding customer service and upholding store policies. You will assist with sales transactions, help with stock movements, and contribute to compelling product displays.

You will become proficient with the POS system, participate in in-store training, and support loss prevention while learning store performance insights with Power BI. Matric and 0–1 years of retail experience are expected.

Qualifications

• An absolute passion for retail & customer service.
• Ability to use your initiative and adapt to changing tasks.
• Clear and upbeat communication to customers and team.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
• Previous fashion retail experience is valued but not essential.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest level of adidas service to every customer.
• Process regular sales transactions (cash, card, checks) when needed.
• Assist with ticketing and reconcile paperwork on receipt of stock.
• Help move products from stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Contribute to visual merchandising and displays per store guidance.
• Learn and use the point-of-sale system; uphold policy and security procedures.
• Greeting customers and helping them find the right product; may front-door greet during busy times.
• Maintain store housekeeping and safekeeping of assets; monitor for loss prevention.
