Empower Talent in Johannesburg seeks qualified paralegals to provide legal and administrative support for a 3-month contract period.

The successful candidates will assist with legal compliance processes, document drafting, regulatory matters and legal research across various frameworks, while maintaining records and supporting CPD compliance.

Qualifications

  • B Proc, LLB, Paralegal Qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in legal/compliance.
  • Articles of Clerkship completed is advantageous.
  • Strong drafting and research skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with legal compliance processes in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents, contracts, correspondence, and other legal documentation under supervision.
  • Maintain and manage legal records, files, and documentation.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries and reports.
  • Monitor relevant legislative and regulatory developments.
  • Assist with professional conduct matters, disciplinary procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Support CPD policies and continuing legal education requirements.
  • Assist with compliance relating to tax practitioner regulatory requirements and business rescue practitioner criteria.
  • Provide general legal and administrative support to the team.

Job description

Job Title : PARALEGAL

Contract Duration: 3 Months
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 12:00
Salary: R12,500 per month

We are seeking qualified and experienced Paralegals to provide legal and administrative support to our client for a 3-month contract period.

The successful candidates will assist with legal compliance processes, legal documentation, regulatory matters, and legal research across various legislative and professional regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with legal compliance processes in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents, contracts, correspondence, and other legal documentation under supervision.
  • Maintain and manage legal records, files, and documentation.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries and reports.
  • Monitor relevant legislative and regulatory developments.
  • Assist with professional conduct matters, disciplinary procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Support the implementation and adherence to CPD policies and continuing legal education requirements.
  • Assist with compliance relating to tax practitioner regulatory requirements and business rescue practitioner criteria.
  • Provide general legal and administrative support to the team.
Minimum Requirements
  • B Proc, LLB, Paralegal Qualification, or another relevant legal qualification.
  • Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in a legal or compliance environment.
  • Completed Articles of Clerkship will be advantageous.
  • Strong legal drafting and research skills.
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
