Job summary

Placements24 in Benoni invites applications for Apprentice HVAC Technicians. This role provides hands-on training in installation, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for residential and commercial clients, under seasoned technicians.

You will learn ductwork, electrical connections, routine service and troubleshooting, while gaining safe-work practices and certificates through our training program.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 or equivalent qualification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to attend technical training courses and obtain necessary certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in the installation of HVAC systems, including ductwork and electrical connections.
• Learn to perform routine maintenance and service on heating and cooling equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems under supervision.
• Conduct basic repairs and component replacements as directed.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.
