Job summary

The Recruitment Pig in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Shop Floor Supervisor to lead a busy packaging team. You will ensure daily orders flow smoothly, maintain high quality standards, and advance your operational supervisory career on the packaging floor.

You will supervise line activities, assign tasks, verify orders and barcodes, perform spot checks, report breakdowns, maintain tidy stations, and hand over stock to dispatch on completion of each shift.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) with a certificate in Production or Logistics.
• 3–5 years in packaging, assembly, or warehousing.
• At least 2 years leading a shop-floor production team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily packing line activities to hit target outputs each shift.
• Assign daily tasks to packers, sorters, and assemblers based on order priorities.
• Verify packed items match customer orders, quantities, and barcodes.
• Carry out spot checks on finished orders to ensure zero packaging mistakes.
• Report equipment breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime.
• Keep packing stations tidy, well-stocked, safe, and organized daily.
• Record shift completion numbers and hand over stock to dispatch.
