Job summary

Our client in Vereeniging, Gauteng, seeks a proactive Production Line Supervisor to manage packaging operations on-site in a fast-paced FMCG setting. The role focuses on leading a team of operators, monitoring line performance, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

You will train staff, troubleshoot basic machinery, and coordinate scheduling and line allocation while driving continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce waste.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a supervisory or team lead role in manufacturing or packaging.
• Experience operating and supervising packaging machinery.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate production line operators to meet daily targets.
• Monitor line performance and minimize downtime.
• Ensure adherence to quality and product specifications.
• Maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety procedures.
• Train new operators on operations, safety, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot packaging equipment and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
• Schedule and allocate personnel across lines and shifts.
• Manage inventory of packaging materials.
