Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited in Midrand seeks a DC Outbound Manager for the dayshift to drive operational excellence in the outbound distribution centre. You will direct and coordinate operations to ensure orders are dispatched on time and in full.

Essentially, the role requires Grade 12, a logistics degree/diploma, and at least 5 years in distribution or supply chain, with SAP EWM experience. This permanent position offers market-related benefits and stability.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Degree or Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Distribution or Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize SAP EWM systems for outbound operations.
• Plan and implement procedures to maximise operational efficiencies.
• Ensure daily order management and timely dispatch within 48 hours.
• Support new projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safe operating conditions.
• Distribute orders per standard operating procedures.
• Forecast resources to meet day-to-day objectives.
• Address seasonal shipments and special packaging needs.
• Manage shelf life and prevent short-dated stock dispatch.
