Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Outage EHS Officer to support the Outage Manager in implementing and maintaining the EHS Plan and Management System. You will supervise site activities, perform field inspections, and ensure adherence to Life Saving Rules and related guidelines to prevent incidents and protect people, equipment, and the environment.

Key duties include daily outage reporting, toolbox talks, and incident investigation participation.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Certificate in Safety Management or Environmental Health from an accredited institution.
• OH&S Act certification and COID certification are required.
• First Aid certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Outage Manager/Site Leader in developing and updating the Daily Outage Report and management displays.
• Carry out regular site inspections (≥80% in the field) and report discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with GE Vernova Life Saving Rules and Outage EHS plans.
• Support site discipline policy and zero tolerance initiatives.
• Provide safety guidance to site personnel to prevent harm to people, equipment and environment.
• Lead by example in adhering to EHS rules and participate in incident investigations.
