Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
• Oracle Database Administrator Certification (OCP).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and support Oracle databases and application servers.
• Diagnose and resolve database and application server issues to ensure optimal system performance.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, business continuity, capacity planning, and scalability initiatives for Oracle applications.
• Assist with the physical design and architecture of database and application server environments.
• Proactively monitor, maintain, and optimize database and application systems to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
• Implement Oracle software rollouts, upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
• Utilize automation tools for maintenance, monitoring, alerting, and system administration activities.
• Identify required system changes and software patches and implement them according to business and technical requirements.
• Adhere to established standard operating procedures, policies, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Unix/Linux support teams to ensure the availability and efficient utilization of infrastructure resources.
• Conduct database and application server trend analysis and provide reports to management.
• Participate in a standby rotation to provide after-hours support and maintenance when required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Oracle workflow issues that impact critical business processes.
• Mentor and support junior team members to facilitate knowledge transfer and capacity building.
• Prepare and submit technical reports relating to Oracle databases and application servers.
