Location: Heidelberg, Gauteng
Salary: R40,000 – R45,000 per month

Are you a qualified Optometrist who enjoys providing excellent patient care and would welcome the opportunity to play an active role in the running of a practice?

An established optometry practice in Heidelberg is looking for an Optometrist to join its team on a full-time basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who is confident in their clinical abilities, enjoys working with people and is ready to take responsibility for helping to manage the day-to-day running of the practice.

The successful candidate will work alongside the practice owner and assist in overseeing the practice when the owner is attending to her other practice.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assess patients’ visual needs.
• Diagnose visual conditions and recommend appropriate treatment or corrective lenses.
• Prescribe spectacles and contact lenses where appropriate.
• Provide professional advice on eye health, eyewear and lens options.
• Refer patients to relevant healthcare professionals when necessary.
• Build positive relationships with patients and provide a high standard of care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Assist with the day-to-day running and management of the practice.
• Support and work closely with the practice team to ensure smooth operations.

• A recognised qualification in Optometry.
