Placements24 Randburg is seeking an experienced Optical Network Engineer to design, deploy and maintain high-performance fibre networks across the Gauteng region. You will work on DWDM, OTN and GPON, troubleshoot complex issues, and help expand the network footprint to meet growing demand.

The role requires a strong background in optical transmission, vendor equipment, and hands-on testing with OTDR, with a focus on operational excellence and documentation.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of optical network engineering experience.
• Proficiency with optical network equipment from major vendors (Nokia, Ciena, Cisco).
