Placements24 is seeking a skilled Fiber Optic Network Designer to join our engineering team in Klerksdorp. You will design fiber networks, plan routes, and prepare documentation to support deployment across the region.

The role requires at least 5 years in fiber optic design, proficiency with AutoCAD and GIS (QGIS/ArcGIS), and a solid understanding of OSP/ISP considerations. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fiber optic network design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS tools (QGIS, ArcGIS), and specialized fiber design software.
• Solid understanding of fiber optic principles, components, and installation techniques.
• Experience with network planning, OSP (Outside Plant) design, and ISP (Inside Plant) considerations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
