Job summary

Network Finance is seeking a finance professional to consolidate operating expenditures across multiple entities and to lead the budgeting and forecasting cycles. You will prepare monthly variance analyses, challenge cost centres, and drive cost-saving initiatives, supported by advanced Excel and ERP tools including Dynamics 365.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills to partner with senior stakeholders and ensure compliance with expenditure policies and controls.

Qualifications

• CA(SA), newly qualified or up to approx. three years post-qualification.
• CIMA with equivalent experience will be considered.
• Articles completed at a recognized professional services or audit firm.
• Experience in management accounting, cost reporting, budgeting or opex management.
• Multi-entity and intercompany experience.
• Financial Services, payments or fintech exposure advantageous.
• Strong ERP experience; Microsoft Dynamics 365 exposure advantageous.
• SOX or similar control environment exposure advantageous.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and consolidate operating expenditure across multiple entities and cost centres.
• Prepare monthly reporting and provide variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods.
• Lead the annual opex budgeting process and maintain rolling forecasts.
• Challenge cost centre owners on expenditure, assumptions and variances.
• Conduct detailed reviews of major expense categories and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage cost allocations, intercompany charges and group recharges.
• Develop dashboards and reporting to improve visibility of operating costs.
• Support ERP and process improvement initiatives, including automation of reporting.
• Monitor procurement compliance and expenditure controls.
• Develop and implement expenditure policies and controls.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Act as a finance business partner to cost centre owners and senior stakeholders.
