Job summary

Lesaka Technologies Inc. is seeking an Opex Controller in Johannesburg to own the Merchant Division's operating cost base.

You will lead cost collation, allocation, and close, produce monthly cost centre reporting, and partner with divisional owners to drive cost discipline across multiple legal entities and IFRS/SOX considerations. The role requires strong Excel, modelling and ERP experience; you will challenge budgets, manage rolling forecasts, and deliver timely dashboards and commentary to

Qualifications

CA(SA) newly qualified or up to ~3 years post-qualification.
CIMA with equivalent depth will be considered.
Experience with management accounting, cost centre reporting or opex budgeting in multi-entity/divisional environment.

Responsibilities

Collate opex across Merchant entities into a single view and allocate to cost centres.
Validate the opex base including accruals, prepayments and cut-off.
Provide monthly reporting with variance analysis against budget/forecast.
Build dashboards for high-scrutiny categories and provide insights.
Prepare and chair the monthly divisional cost review forum.
