Job summary

Origin Wine Stellenbosch is seeking an experienced Operator to join our production team. The role focuses on improving operator skill levels across all shifts, shadowing new operators, and increasing plant efficiencies with reduced downtime.

Key duties include ensuring correct materials for each production run, monitoring bottling, training colleagues, and maintaining accurate production documentation to meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 minimum.
• Work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Product and production process knowledge.
• Knowledge of the Pre-requisite Program – ISOPH01.
• Knowledge of HACCP Plan for glass and Bib filling – ISOPH02.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Check dry goods used for each production run to ensure they are correct and meet specifications.
• Monitors bottling processes by checking at regular intervals that production is running smoothly, and employees are following correct operating procedures.
• Assist and train operators where they are experiencing process problems to avoid loss of production.
• Check and verifies that the relevant control documentation (production pack) is completed correctly, and that the product is being produced according to specifications.
• Attends to processing problems promptly to ensure smooth flow of production lines.
• Identifies potential machine problems and advises the shift supervisor accordingly.
• Include daily operating activities on all machines in the production plant, for indefinite period

Origin Wine Stellenbosch is a production facility located on the Bottelary Road. We are looking for a experienced Operator to join our dynamic team.

Main Purpose:

• Improve immediate operator skill level on all three shifts.
• Assist with job shadowing for new potential operators.
• Improve plant efficiencies and limit machine downtime.

Main Duties:

• Check dry goods used for each production run to ensure they are correct and meet specifications
• Monitors bottling processes by physically checking at regular intervals that production is running smoothly, and employees are following correct operating procedures.
• Assist and train operators where they are experiencing process problems to avoid loss pf production.
• Check and verifies that the relevant control documentation (production pack) is completed correctly, and that the product is being produced according to specifications.
• Attends to processing problems promptly to ensure smooth flow of production lines.
