About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Project Manager to optimize and streamline operations within their facilities in Paarl . This role is critical for improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall operational performance through strategic project implementation. You will work closely with operations teams, supply chain, and support functions to identify areas for improvement, develop project plans, and lead initiatives from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management and a proven track record of successfully managing operational improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Analyze current operational processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for enhancement.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource requirements, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Manage project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and timely completion of project tasks and deliverables.
• Implement and monitor changes, ensuring successful adoption and sustained operational improvements.
• Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders and senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations management or project management with a focus on operational improvements.
• Proven experience in implementing process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
