Job summary

Flexo Line Products (Pty) Ltd, based in Atlantis, Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily factory operations, including production, toolroom, stores, maintenance and dispatch.

You will work closely with department managers to meet targets, resolve bottlenecks, and drive efficiencies while taking hands-on ownership on the factory floor. A strong track record in manufacturing leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an operations or production management role within a manufacturing environment.

Flexo Line Products (Pty) Ltd is a plastic injection moulding company based in Atlantis, Cape Town. We manufacture a wide range of plastic products, including spice closures, educational toys, household storage items, domestic products, hardware goods, and plumbing components.

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands‑on and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. This is a full‑time position reporting directly to the CEO.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the factory, including production, toolroom, stores, maintenance and dispatch. You’ll work closely with the various department managers to make sure production targets are met, problems are dealt with quickly, and efficiencies are improved.

This is a hands‑on role and will suit someone who is comfortable working on the factory floor, managing people, solving problems and taking ownership of the overall operation.

Additional Advantages

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of the plastic injection moulding process, mould construction and production requirements
• Experience managing tooling, moulds and machinery maintenance
• Experience in implementing automation solutions and integrating robotics into manufacturing processes
• Experience with stock, stores and material management
• Experience driving process improvements and identifying cost‑saving opportunities
