Job summary

Bidvest Prestige is seeking a site/operations manager to oversee cleaning services across multiple buildings in South Africa. The role emphasizes achieving SLA targets, managing staff performance, and ensuring health and safety compliance on all sites.

You will develop cleaning plans, monitor assets, and maintain client relationships while driving profitability and service quality across contracts.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in property or operations management as required.
• Experience in cleaning/hygiene or outsourced property services.
• Strong HR and risk management awareness is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational activities to support strategic plan.
• Ensure SLAs are met and client relationships maintained.
• Establish cleaning plans for each site per SLAs.
• Conduct site visits and report results and recommendations.
• Manage delivery of chemicals, consumables, and equipment.
• Control company assets and schedules; monitor performance.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and OSH Act training.
• Maintain safety files and assist with staff training.
• Achieve monthly revenue targets and upsell on contracts.
• Monitor expenses and provide monthly variance explanations.

About the Role:

To Obtain Profit Contribution by Managing Staff, Establishing & Accomplishing Business Objectives & Ensuring Compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Awareness and Compliance with the Company’s Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the operational activities of the area to support and contribute to the company strategic plan and long-term strategy.
• Develop and Maintain systems to ensure client service level agreement adhered to at all times and relationship with client contact person and accounts person.
• Establish and monitor a cleaning plan for each building in accordance with the service level agreements
• Conduct site visits of allocated sites and report on activities, results and recommendations.
• Manage delivery of cleaning chemicals and consumables to sites. Manage availability and condition ofsite equipment
• Control and management of Company assets.
• Implement cleaner work schedules and evaluate and manage performance; Adhere to company policy and procedures
• Ensure to maintain health and safety requirements on sites, keep safety file up to date
• Ensurethe staff is trained on Health and Safety as required by the OSH Act
• Achieve monthly non contractual revenue targets;Maintain existing customer base and ensure up selling on existing contracts
• Manage direct expenses and overheads, and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the area
• Provide monthly horizontal feedback and variance explanations

Preferred Qualifications:

• NQF Level 6: Diploma Property Management, Project Management, Operations Management or related formal qualification
• SAFMA Certified facilities Supervisor
• Matric (Senior Certificate)
• Valid SA Drivers’ License
• 3 years Knowledge and experience in the Cleaning/Hygiene industry or Outsourced property services
• Basic knowledge of HR related issues and procedures; Property Management
• MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Project & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level), PRP, D365
• Knowledge of OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management & Risk Management Systems
