Job summary

Fidelity Services Group in Durban seeks an experienced Branch Operations Supervisor to oversee Cash in Transit (CIT) activities at our Kokstad branch and ensure efficient service delivery to clients.

You will manage staff, coordinate security processes, enforce ISO9001:2015 quality practices, and maintain strong client relations while working irregular hours and under pressure.

Qualifications

• Clear criminal record and valid driver’s license.
• PSIRA accreditation with Grade C or higher.
• CIT certificate and firearm competency for business purposes.
• Computer literacy is compulsory.
• Minimum 5 years’ CIT industry or similar experience; supervisory/management advantageous.
• HR/IR knowledge and ISO9001:2015 awareness.
• Knowledge of Transtrack and security systems.
• Strong planning, leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CIT operations for the branch and communicate with staff daily.
• Ensure clients are serviced per contractual requirements.
• Maintain good relations between Branch and clients on services rendered.
• Manage staff and client retention; enforce risk management practices.
• Take accountability for vehicle maintenance, security systems and cleanliness.
• Report accidents and prevent suspicious activity; liaise with management and staff.
• Address HR/IR issues and manage Transtrack duties.
• Ensure security and movement of CIT schedules during transit.

Reporting to the Branch Manager

The above position is vacant at our Kokstad Branch. The overall purpose of this position is to ensure that Cash in Transit (CIT) operations are efficiently managed.

Qualifications

• Clear Criminal record
• PSIRA accredited with a minimum Grade C qualification
• Cash In Transit (CIT) certificate
• Firearm competency – with a minimum handgun (for business purposes) qualification
• Computer literate (compulsory)
• At least 5 years’ experience in the Cash in Transit industry or similar role (Advantageous at FSG)
• CIT management/ supervisory experience is advantageous
• Knowledge of HR/ IR
• Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 quality management and its requirements
• Knowledge of Transtrack
• Strong planning, leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and own transport
• Able to work under pressure
• Prepared to work irregular hours
• Clear disciplinary record

Key Performance Areas (not totally inclusive):

• Responsible for all operational issues to the entire client base of his/her branch – through daily communication/ instruction giving and follow up with employees
• Ensure all clients are serviced as per contractual requirements
• Maintain good relations between the Branch and the client regarding services rendered
• Manage staff and client retention

• Ensure all administrative responsibilities relating to daily operational requirements are complete
• Take full responsibility and accountability for the vehicle i.e. report mechanical faults, refuelling, operating the various security systems, ensure cleanliness of the vehicle, etc.
• Accident prevention and reporting
• Take preventative actions towards any suspicious activity
• Liaise with management and all staff
• Personnel Management - deal with HR/ IR related issues
• Overall Transtrack duties
• Ensure security and manage movement of CIT schedules during transit
