Job summary

Schlemmer is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day property operations in Brackenrite, Cape Town. You will lead maintenance, contractor management, and tenant service delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in property operations, strong H&S knowledge, and hands-on problem solving. This role requires independent work, effective communication, and budgeting support for facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience within property operations, facilities, or building management.
• Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety standards and property regulations.
• Excellent contractor, vendor, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure maintenance standards.
• Oversee preventative maintenance for HVAC, generators, lighting and pumps.
• Coordinate servicing and repairs for property equipment and facilities.
• Manage contractors including cleaning, security, pest control and access control.
• Respond to tenant queries and operational requests professionally and promptly.
• Assist with health & safety compliance and record-keeping.
