Job summary

Authentic Life Connections is seeking a data-driven Operations and Analytics leader in the Western Cape to own the performance scoreboard, design pilots, and elevate issues to the COO with evidence-based hypotheses.

You will shape canonical metrics across departments, model viability of new offerings like energy solutions, and drive corrective actions to resolution in monthly reviews.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Finance, or another quantitative discipline.
• 8–12 years in analytically intensive environments (operations, industrial engineering, manufacturing quality, management consulting).
• Demonstrated ability to derive root causes from messy data and drive fixes to measurable results.
• Strong financial modelling literacy, with ability to stress-test viability models.

Responsibilities

• Review operational data daily and elevate issues to the COO with evidence-backed costed hypotheses.
• Design and run controlled pilots to prove changes on small samples before scaling.
• Own the operational scoreboard: define metrics, thresholds and alarms across departments.
• Define what 'correctly functioning' looks like across sites and monitor the monitoring and corrective actions.
• Act as independent opinion on viability models behind new product offerings (e.g., energy solutions).
• Build the failure-mode taxonomy for product returns with a rand value for decisions.
• Diagnose root causes of cross-departmental conflicts and build business cases to resolve them.
• Own corrective actions through closure via monthly operations review with the COO.
• Escalate unresolved items to the COO/EXCO with diagnosis and case for change.
