Job summary

Network Finance is seeking an experienced Operational Financial Manager to join the finance team of a well-established South African retailer. The role focuses on running the operational finance function and ensuring robust financial control and compliant reporting.

You will oversee tax compliance, audits, debtors and creditors, and monthly management accounts, while driving continuous improvement across finance processes.

Qualifications

• BCom in Finance completed and SAICA/SA IPA articles completed.
• 2–3 years post-articles experience in operational finance.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience in tax compliance, audits and management accounts.
• Operational finance experience in medium to large organisations.
• Currently in a Senior Accountant or Financial Manager role.

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Completed Bcom in Finance
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
• 2 - 3 years post article experience
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
• Experience in tax compliance, audits, and management accounts
• Proven operational finance experience within a medium to large organisation
• Currently operating as a strong Senior Accountant or already in a Financial Manager role
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and technically strong
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted working relationships
