Job summary

Oza Holdings group is seeking a Mine Dewatering Supervisor to oversee and coordinate all dewatering activities across an open-cast operation. You will supervise pump operators, monitor water levels and rainfall, and ensure safe, compliant pumping operations.

The role requires overseeing maintenance, coordinating installations, and ensuring available pumping capacity to minimise water-related disruptions. Strong leadership and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or Matric is required.
• Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mining or related field is advantageous.
• Training in pump operation, water management or dewatering systems is beneficial.
• Valid driver’s licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dewatering activities across the open-cast operation.
• Monitor pit water levels, inflows, rainfall and flood risks.
• Ensure pumps, pipelines and equipment operate efficiently.
• Coordinate installation, relocation and commissioning of pumps as mining progresses.
• Ensure adequate pumping capacity and standby equipment.
• Monitor discharge points and water management infrastructure per site procedures.
