Job summary

The Weir Group PLC in Port Elizabeth is seeking a Welder/Gouger to join our onsite manufacturing team. You will gouge parts, remove burn-on, flash and runner systems, and ensure work meets required standards.

Applicants should have a minimum of two years welding experience in engineering, manufacturing, mining or related environments, plus a Grade 12 and the ability to read and interpret documents. We support safety first, career development and collaboration with global teams.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• Minimum of two years welding experience in engineering, manufacturing, mining or related environment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.

Responsibilities

• Gouging of parts and removing burn-on, flash and runner system.
• Ensure gouging is done according to required standards.
• Report non-conforming items to Shift Leaders.
• Safety first: demonstrate commitment to zero-harm culture.
