Placements24 is seeking an experienced Drilling Supervisor to lead onshore drilling operations in the Richards Bay region. This role directsupervises drilling crews, ensures safety, efficiency, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include rig site operations, equipment integrity, and personnel performance to support successful drilling campaigns in the Oil & Gas sector, requiring strong leadership and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in drilling operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Valid IWCF Level 3 or higher certification.
• Proven track record of managing safe and efficient drilling operations.
• Strong knowledge of drilling equipment, downhole tools, and drilling fluids.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in remote or challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all daily drilling operations and personnel on the rig site.
• Ensure adherence to drilling programs, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor drilling parameters and equipment performance, making necessary adjustments.
• Manage inventory of drilling supplies and equipment, coordinating with logistics.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure all personnel are trained on hazards and procedures.
• Oversee well control operations and emergency response planning.
