Altron seeks a Support Technician in Port Shepstone to maintain and repair desktop and POS equipment for various customers. You will drive service success by adhering to SLA, managing on-site installations, repairs, maintenance and testing tasks. Diagnosing errors and identifying proper solutions are essential.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, own reliable vehicle, and reside in Port Shepstone area as daily site travel is required.

Qualifikationen

• Matric qualification is required.
• A+ N+ qualification or equivalent is advantageous.
• Mechanical skills related to equipment maintenance.
• Electronic skills for diagnosing hardware.
• Soldering skills for minor repairs.
• Fault-finding techniques to identify issues.
• 2 years of IT equipment maintenance experience.
• 1 year of desktop equipment experience.

Aufgaben

• Address customer queries within SLA timeframes.
• Achieve first-time fix and recall targets.
• Maintain customer relationships and pro-active calls.
• Ensure compliance with QMS procedures from FSM.
• Maintain and manage boot stock.
• Complete admin duties within policy timeframes.
• Open/close new calls within SLA and MTTR metrics.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop and POS equipment.
