Job summary

You will prevent risks, ensure accurate records, manage stock, and foster a learning environment to build staff competence while contributing to a positive patient experience and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diploma leading to registration as a General Nurse or a 4-year Nursing Diploma/Bachelor.
• Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Midwifery is desirable.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (e.g. Critical Care, Emergency) if placed in a specialist unit.
• Basic life support and nursing knowledge are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
• Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive client experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charted.
