Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to manage and maintain the critical network infrastructure at its Klerksdorp facility. This on-site role emphasizes reliability, performance, and security across servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.

You will monitor, troubleshoot, and upgrade systems to support growing operational needs. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper gear, strong TCP/IP skills, and a proactive mindset for backups and disaster

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar IT role.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper networking gear.
Familiarity with network security best practices and tools.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues, identifying and resolving problems promptly.
Implement and manage network security measures, including intrusion detection systems and access controls.
Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to network resources.
Provide technical support to end-users for network-related issues.
