Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Regional Transport Coordinator to manage operations within the Kimberley area on-site. You will oversee dispatch, driver scheduling, and route planning to ensure timely deliveries.

The role focuses on regulatory compliance, safety, real-time tracking, and close collaboration with warehouses and customers to maintain fleet readiness and high service levels.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in transport coordination or logistics management.
• Strong knowledge of the Kimberley region and transport networks.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking and route optimization.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site in Kimberley.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the dispatch of vehicles and drivers for daily transportation operations.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize transit times.
• Monitor vehicle movements and shipment progress in real-time.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, providing instructions, updates, and addressing concerns.
• Liaise with warehouse personnel and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
• Manage driver schedules, including breaks and shift changes, ensuring adequate coverage.
• Maintain accurate records of all transport activities, including logs, mileage, and delivery confirmations.
• Respond promptly to operational issues and emergencies, implementing effective solutions.
• Assist in vehicle maintenance scheduling and coordination to ensure fleet readiness.
