Placements24 seeks an Instrumentation and Control Technician for on-site work in Nelspruit to install, calibrate, maintain, and repair instrumentation and control systems across industrial facilities. You will read P&IDs, diagnose failures, and ensure safe operation of process instrumentation.

Qualificações

• Technical qualification or certification in Instrumentation, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience as an Instrumentation and Control Technician in an industrial environment.
• Solid understanding of process control principles and control loop tuning.
• Experience with various types of process instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level).
• Familiarity with PLC and DCS systems is required.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using calibration equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to strict protocols.
• Willingness to work on-site in the Nelspruit area and respond to urgent calls when necessary.

Responsabilidades

• Install, calibrate, and maintain process instruments such as transmitters, sensors, control valves, and analyzers.
• Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and control system failures.
• Read and interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), electrical schematics, and control loop diagrams.
• Perform preventative maintenance on instrumentation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Work with PLC and DCS (Distributed Control System) interfaces for instrumentation configuration and troubleshooting.
• Ensure all instrumentation installations and maintenance activities comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Support the commissioning of new instrumentation and control systems.
• Maintain accurate records of calibration, maintenance, and repair activities.
• Collaborate with engineers and operators to optimize process control strategies.
• Respond to instrumentation-related alarms and issues promptly.
