Job summary

CampusKey Student Living in Pretoria seeks an experienced facilities manager to join our on-site team. You will oversee maintenance, manage a team, coordinate service providers and ensure exceptional housing experiences for students.

With 3+ years in facilities or maintenance leadership and a relevant technical degree, you will plan preventive programs, control costs and improve building operations across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in overseeing the maintenance function.
• Experience managing a team of greater than 5 employees.
• Must be able to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication, organization and writing skills.
• Self-starter able to identify work and take action without instruction.
• Detail oriented and attentive to processes and special requests.
• Desire to learn and seek new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Planning, budget and execution of annual preventive and service programs.
• Planning, scheduling and execution of daily room maintenance.
• Administration and reporting on daily room and communal area maintenance.
• Stock sourcing, control and purchasing.
• Storeroom management and inspections planning.
• Daily site inspections and reporting on-site findings.
• Manage service level agreements and providers.
• Participate in on-duty rosters including weekends.
• Oversee maintenance-related procurement requests.
• Project-manage large-scale maintenance and renovations.
• Review job reports weekly to manage team performance.
• Identify recurring facilities requests and address them.
• Attend service-related emergencies 24/7.
• Ensure facilities included in the product offering.
• Optimize utility usage and distribution; reduce costs.
• Improve operating efficiency of buildings and infrastructure.
• Deliver high standards of cleanliness and facilities upkeep.
• Collaborate with Community Management to enhance student experience.
