Job summary

CBRE Excellerate is hiring a hands-on Handyman in Gqeberha, South Africa. The role involves delivering high-quality general maintenance across multiple client sites, working independently, and supporting a small on-site team. The successful candidate will manage daily maintenance requests, respond to call-outs, and ensure adherence to procedures while communicating effectively with clients and management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience in general building and facilities maintenance.
• Experience supervising or managing a on-site team, coordinating tasks and providing guidance.
• Trade qualification or technical certificate in building maintenance or related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repair across multiple client sites.
• Supervise and support on-site team members; allocate tasks and ensure work is completed to standard.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff; assist Electrical, HVAC and Handy Man teams as required.
• Attend to site call-outs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Track and complete day-to-day call-outs; conduct daily/weekly/monthly site checks per SLAs.
• Complete administration including digital job cards, reports, invoices, and delivery notes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and operational procedures at all times.
