Job summary

Staff Solutions Recruitment is seeking an experienced maintenance electrician for our client in the Eastern Cape. The role focuses on routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance of utilities plant and equipment to ensure uninterrupted factory operations.

You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems, read technical drawings, and support safety inspections. Standby duties and after-hours callouts are expected as part of the job.

Qualifications

• Trade-tested electrician/fitter/millwright with post-trade maintenance experience.
• Minimum of 8 years' post-trade industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with utilities systems including water treatment, boilers, refrigeration, AHUs, cooling towers and transformers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive and breakdown maintenance on utilities plant and equipment.
• Maintain, repair and optimize utilities infrastructure for efficient operations.
• Troubleshoot faults on electrical, mechanical and instrumentation systems.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with standards.
• Respond to breakdowns and provide after-hours standby support.
