About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Offshore Production Operator to join their globally distributed team. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute your expertise from the comfort of your home office. You will be responsible for monitoring, controlling, and optimizing the production processes of offshore oil and gas facilities through advanced remote operating systems. This position demands a high level of technical understanding, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining operational integrity and safety standards across all supervised assets. As a remote operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and continuous production, working collaboratively with onshore and offshore teams via sophisticated communication platforms and real-time data streams.

Key Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor and control oil and gas production facilities, ensuring operations are within safe and efficient parameters.
• Analyze real-time data from sensors and control systems to identify operational trends and potential issues.
• Respond promptly to alarms and deviations, taking appropriate actions to maintain asset integrity and production continuity.
• Collaborate with onshore support teams, including engineers and maintenance personnel, to diagnose and resolve operational problems.
• Operate and optimize production equipment such as separators, pumps, compressors, and injection systems remotely.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation of operational activities, including production volumes, process upsets, and corrective actions taken.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in oil and gas production operations, preferably with exposure to control room or remote operations.
• Proficiency with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and SCADA systems.
• Strong understanding of oil and gas processing, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote team environment, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
