Job summary

Crew Life at Sea Ltd. seeks an Oiler to join a Construction Lift Vessel (CLV) operating offshore. The role supports engineering with operation, lubrication and maintenance of engine room machinery and auxiliary equipment in a demanding offshore setting.

The candidate should have relevant marine engineering or engine room experience, strong offshore exposure, and a commitment to high safety standards. Certifications (FWP, BOSIET, GWO SS, GWO WAH) are required.

Qualifications

• Relevant marine engineering or engine room experience.
• Offshore vessel experience, preferably offshore construction.
• Knowledge of engine room operations, lubrication, and routine maintenance.
• Engine room safety practices and environmental protection requirements.
• Ability to identify/report machinery faults, leaks, and abnormal operating conditions.
• Valid FWP, BOSIET, GWO Sea Survival (SS), and GWO Working at Heights (WAH) certifications.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an engineering team in a demanding offshore environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with operation and maintenance of main engines, auxiliary engines, pumps, generators, and other machinery.
• Perform routine lubrication, oiling, and greasing of machinery and components.
• Monitor operating conditions (temps, pressures, oil levels, noises, vibrations).
• Conduct regular engine room inspections and report defects, leaks, abnormalities.
• Assist with routine maintenance, machinery cleaning, and minor mechanical tasks.
• Monitor and maintain lubricating oil, fuel, and other fluids per procedures.
• Support bunkering, fuel transfer, and engine room operations when trained.
• Maintain engine room cleanliness and safe storage of tools/equipment.
• Follow onboard safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Participate in safety drills and toolbox talks.
