Placements24 is seeking a dedicated nanny in Midrand, Gauteng to care for two children aged 4 and 7. The role involves home-based care, educational activities, meal prep, and daily routines. It offers a stable, long-term position in a non-smoking household and may require occasional driving.

The ideal candidate has nanny experience, strong child development knowledge, First Aid/CPR, good communication, and a caring, reliable attitude. Must have a clear criminal record and SA eligibility.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Nanny or similar childcare provider with verifiable references.
• Excellent understanding of child development stages and best practices in childcare.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, reliability, and a responsible attitude.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Must have a clear criminal record.
• South African citizen or valid work permit.
• A passion for children's education and well-being is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and affectionate care for two children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, fostering their learning and development.
• Prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
• Assist with bath time, dressing, and bedtime routines.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children, including tidying play areas and bedrooms.
• Transport children to and from school, extracurricular activities, and playdates as needed (if driving is applicable).
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding the children's day, progress, and any concerns.
• Instill good manners, discipline, and positive behavior in the children.
• Be a positive role model, demonstrating patience, kindness, and enthusiasm.
