Job summary

Netcare seeks a Unit Manager to coordinate improved quality nursing care and ensure adherence to professional and ethical standards. The incumbent will monitor nursing practice within a multidisciplinary quality assurance team and drive capacity building, mentoring and training across the unit.

Responsibilities include governance, risk management, patient care optimization, and collaboration with doctors and staff to maintain service excellence and safety.

Qualifications

• A grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
• A relevant nursing qualification (Dip)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate improved quality nursing care and ensure compliance to professional and ethical practice.
• Monitor and ensure nursing care and service delivery within a multi-disciplinary quality assurance team.
• Coordinate capacity building, mentoring and training for nursing staff.
• Ensure correct billing, stock management and purchasing; manage assets and safety standards.
• Promote infection prevention and standard precautions; support clinical governance initiatives.
