Gauteng Department of Health seeks an Operational Manager General (PN- A5) for Surgery & Ophthalmology, FBU – Surgery. The role requires Professional Nurse registration with SANC, a basic R425 qualification, and substantial nursing leadership experience.

The successful candidate will supervise nursing care, manage ward resources, and contribute to reporting and development initiatives within a modern health service framework.

Formación

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
• Minimum of seven years’ nursing experience after registration with SANC in General Nursing.
• Current SANC registration for 2026.
• Post-basic qualification in Health Services Management/Nursing Administration is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and evaluate quality of nursing care within professional scope and standards.
• Manage resources effectively and compile/analyze reports to improve patient care.
• Participate in training, research and self-development; work night shifts and weekends.
• Relieve supervisor when required and implement hospital frameworks.
