Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a PR & Communications Coordinator for our client in Port Elizabeth. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility.

You will support the Communications Manager in executing PR and communication strategies to raise visibility and engage stakeholders. You will draft press releases, newsletters, and social media content; update the website and social profiles; monitor media coverage; assist with community outreach events;

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in communications, PR, or marketing.
• Strong writing and editing skills with adaptable tone and style.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
• Enthusiasm for the non-profit sector and community engagement.
• Basic understanding of media relations principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing PR and communication plans.
• Draft and edit press releases, newsletters, and social media content.
• Manage and update the organization’s website and social media profiles.
• Monitor media coverage and online conversations.
