Job summary

PBT Group in Cape Town is seeking experienced Node.js Developers to join a high-performing engineering team delivering secure, scalable payment solutions.

You will work on modern backend applications that process high volumes of transactions in an Agile environment, collaborating with Product Owners, QAs and Solution Architects to ensure robust, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' commercial backend development experience.
• Strong Node.js development experience.
• Exposure to Java.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Git and CI/CD experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Node.js.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop secure integrations with payment systems.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews and Agile delivery.
• Support CI/CD practices, deployments and production support.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA and Solution Architects.
