Placements24 in Upington, Northern Cape, ZA is seeking an AI NLP Specialist to design and deploy NLP models for text classification, sentiment analysis, NER, and generation. This on-site role emphasizes collaboration with data scientists to extract insights from textual data.

You will work with libraries such as spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, TensorFlow, and PyTorch, focusing on robust NLP pipelines while staying current with research in AI.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, AI, or a related field.
• Proven NLP experience and related ML techniques.
• Strong Python and familiarity with NLP libraries.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for NLP tasks.
• Solid understanding of linguistic concepts and text processing.
• Familiarity with data preprocessing and feature engineering for text data.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
• Strong communication skills for team collaboration.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy NLP models using state-of-the-art techniques.
• Process and analyze large volumes of text data for various applications.
• Implement algorithms for tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and question answering.
