Job summary

MSU Residential and Hospitality Services seeks a Late Night Kitchen Sanitation worker for Case Hall to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and related kitchen areas using appropriate equipment. The role runs 6pm–11pm with weekend availability, supporting South Dining operations.

You will follow sanitation standards, operate dishwashing equipment, and assist with basic prep and inventory duties. Standing and frequent heavy lifting (75+ lbs) are required.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates.
• Ability to deliver Spartan-level service standards.
• Excellent attendance and personal hygiene standards.
• Willingness to work flexible evening shifts.
• Frequent lifting of over 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Scrape, wash, dry, and store dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Clean and sanitize counters, tables, sinks, and equipment.
• Operate dish machines and related cleaning equipment.
• Sweep, mop, and sanitize kitchen floors.
• Load and transport soiled and clean dishes and utensils.
• Empty waste and sanitize containers per standards.
• Check water temperature and soap concentrations to maintain sanitation.
• Periodically clean walls, ceilings, doors, and shelves.
