Bäckerei - German Artisan Sourdough in Somerset West/Devonbosch is seeking a Night Baker to join our traditional German baking team. The role focuses on sourdough, night hours, and maintaining high quality.

You will bake breads and pastries, follow production schedules, and uphold hygiene standards while growing with a values-driven artisan bakery.

Experience in professional bakery preferred; reliable transport for night shift is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in baking bread & pastry (professional bakery experience preferred).
• Passion for baking and working with quality ingredients.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced bakery environment.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Reliable transport to and from work (night shift).
• Ability to follow processes and maintain high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Bake a variety of breads and pastries to a consistently high standard.
• Mix, shape, proof and bake according to daily production schedules.
• Monitor oven temperatures and baking times.
• Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards.
• Keep the bakery clean and equipment well maintained.
• Manage stock levels and report shortages.
