Job summary

Octotel in Cape Town, within the RSAWEB group, seeks a Network Engineering Manager to lead a skilled team across carrier-grade networks. The role focuses on uptime, architecture, and rollout planning within a dynamic ISP environment.

You will guide engineers, manage budgets, and collaborate with vendors to deliver scalable solutions. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in ISPs, CCNP/CCSP, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years working within an ISP based environment.
• Experience and knowledge of Cisco routers and switches (IOS).
• Experience and knowledge of Juniper routers and switches (JUNOS).
• Experience and knowledge of Extreme Networks switches (EXOS).
• Experience and knowledge of IP addressing and subnetting (IPv4 & IPv6).
• Experience with routing protocols including BGP and OSPF; MPLS and Metro Ethernet.
• Leadership experience to guide a technical team and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily operational duties are fulfilled and budgets managed.
• Lead a team of Network and Net-SysAdmin engineers.
• Maintain and improve the RSAWEB network and network rollout planning.
• Vendor management and security of the overall network.
• Provide group network strategy execution and internal customer support.
