Job summary

PayInc is seeking a Network Engineer to support a complex, vendor-diverse network environment in Johannesburg. You will design, implement, test and document network solutions across voice, data, and security domains, while maintaining PCI compliance and risk controls as required.

You will work with internal teams and external clients, manage projects, monitor capacity, and ensure service levels are met. A CCNA certification and IT degree are preferred, with 3–6 years of relevant experience in

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Information Technology.
• CCNA certification preferred.
• Knowledge of financial/cloud ecosystems is a plus.
• Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team ecosystem that supports a complex network design with diverse vendor technologies.
• Find solutions to malfunctions while keeping designated computers and network equipment functional.
• Assist and manage the implementation of complex network projects.
• Maintain inventory records of all network-related equipment.
• Perform and lead analysis, modifications, installations, testing, and implementation of IT systems.
• Analyse and manage capacity of network switches and router locations.
• Introduce and enhance network infrastructure solutions for new IP services networks.
• Analyse and troubleshoot client support requests related to PayInc production and enterprise services.
• Build, control, and leverage key stakeholder relationships.
• Maintain ownership and accountability for a healthy supported networking system.
• Deliver on internal and external stakeholders’ requirements/SLA’s.
