Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Network Administrator to manage and maintain its IT network infrastructure in Kimberley. This hands-on role involves installing, configuring, and supporting network hardware and software to ensure security and reliability.

You will troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, and implement security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS. A technical degree and 2–4 years of experience are expected, with CCNA/ Network+ a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 2-4 years in network administration or IT support.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and related protocols.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and security best practices.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or CCNA are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and APs.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues for high availability.
• Implement and manage network security measures (firewalls, VPNs, IDS).
• Perform regular maintenance, updates, and patching.
• Provide technical support to end-users on network connectivity.
